Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation by the Supreme Court and the agency’s officials have begun investigating. Their team landed in Mumbai for a detailed investigative process and have already begun questioning and simulation. The Central Bureau of Investigation officials even took help from medical experts at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for re-examining the autopsy reports of the late actor.

It was recently reported that after Sushant’s cook and his roommate were summoned for questioning, Rhea Chakraborty and her father were sent a summon notice. However, according to their lawyer, Rhea Chakraborty and her family members have not received a summon from the CBI and will be present at the given time and date once they get the notice. If the reports are to be believed, Rhea’s lawyer has clarified that the father-daughter duo are still to receive a notice for investigation.

Sushant’s family had filed an FIR against Rhea for abetment of suicide and fraud, last month, which makes her a prime suspect in the case.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14.
