Punit Pathak is one of the renowned names in the dance industry. He started off his journey on Dance India Dance and has moved on to acting in the ABCD franchise along with being one of the judges on Dance Plus. Playing pivotal roles in Remo D’souza’s directed films, Punit Pathak took no time to become the audience’s favourite.

The choreographer recently got engaged and shared pictures on his social media. Looking ecstatic with his fiancé, Nidhi Moony Singh, the couple was dressed in traditional outfits as they flaunted their rings. He posted the pictures with the caption, “To the beginning of ALWAYS! I sixth sense you @nidhimoonysingh PC : @tanmayechaudhary #ENGAGED”. Needless to say, wishes from his industry friends started pouring in, including Varun Dhawan, Mouni Roy, and Geeta Kapoor.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
