Sonu Sood and Farah Khan offer help to Naveed Duste who lost a leg saving 30 people August 28, 2020 at 06:06PM

Naveed Duste is a brave heart who recently saved the lives of 30 people, but ended up losing his leg in the process. Duste is currently recovering in Apollo hospital in CBD. However, financial difficulties are being faced by him and his family. After coming across reports of Duste, Sonu Sood and Farah Khan offered to help him financially.

Reportedly, Farah Khan called up Duste's brother-in-law Parvez Kauchali on Thursday and assured him of help. Actor Sonu Sood also called the family and assured them of help.

Talking to a tabloid, Sood said that he will ensure that Duste gets back on his feet with the help of advanced technology. The actor informed that he is already in touch with Doctors in Mumbai and Nagpur and will arrange for everything once he gets Duste's medical files.

Reports further state that Duste's hospital bill will be paid from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. On Monday, the Tarique building in Mahad collapsed and Duste immediately went in to rescue the people stranded in the building. It was when he was almost out of the building with an elderly woman that it collapsed and trapped him. Doctors had to amputate his right leg below the knee.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
