Superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer and the much-anticipated espionage drama Pathan has finally resumed shooting today, on 29th debut anniversary of the actor.

SRK along with his team resumed the shooting at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai. The current sequence will go on for the next 18 days. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the espionage will mark the superstar's return to the big screen after the 2018 film Zero helmed by Aanand L Rai which didn't do well at the box office.

Now, a report by a tabloid suggests that the film is all set to release on Eid 2022. It's probably the first that the actor has taken such a long break in his 29-year career. The film was initially scheduled to be released in January 2021, however, the second wave of Covid-19 delayed all the plans. The report also reveals that after wrapping up the shoot in Mumbai, SRK and the team will move overseas for the next sequence in European countries like Russia. Pathan is supposed to be wrapped up by August if the situation goes smooth.

Pathan also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.

Actor Sonu Sood is back to work. After spending the lockdown by helping the migrants and daily wage workers, the actor has landed in Hyderabad for the sequel of the Telugu film, Kandireega. The actor, who began work on Monday, September 28, has seen an upgrade in his character. After seeing his philanthropic work over the last six months, the makers of the film decided to make his character larger-than-life. The makers reportedly had completed 80 percent of the film but Sonu revealed to a daily that after his work, they decided to make changes in the character. He started work on Monday with all new dialogues. He will be in Hyderabad for a week before coming back to Mumbai to resume the shoot of Prithviraj on October 7 or 8. He has a few ad shoots that he plans to film in the evenings. Sonu Sood will be working double shifts in order to complete his schedule. The shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi is on full-swing at Film City where a massive set had been erected six months ago.
