Nayanthara hasn’t said yes yet to Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer June 29, 2021 at 10:55AM

There are reports all across the internet that Tamil superstar Nayanthara is making her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Tamil director Atlee’s first Hindi film. The film is supposedly titled Sankee (meaning, obnoxious) and it is not a remake of a Tamil film but an original.

Nayanthara hasn’t said yes yet to Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer

So far so cool. Now one hears that Nayanthara who is known as Tamil’s cinema only female superstar, would be making her debut with SRK in the Atlee film. Atlee and Nayanthara had collaborated on Bigil in Tamil in 2018, a football film starring Vijay.

However it seems unlikely that she would jump at this opportunity to go pan-India without being sure of her role being substantial. Sources from the Tamil industry call this news “jumping the gun”

One of Nayanthara’s directors told me, “She is in no hurry to do a Bollywood film. Of course she will do one. But the role has to justify her presence. She has not said yes to the Atlee project. I think he is still writing it. Once he completes the script, only then would we know if her presence in justified by the script. Until then it is just a rumour and not a news report.”

Is Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K K Singh planning to join Bihar politics? The grieving patriarch’s Wednesday rendezvous with Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar has triggered off much speculation in Bihar about a possible alliance. A source close to the Bihar chief minister tells this writer, “We can’t say anything definite at the moment. We can’t rule out Sushant’s father joining hands with Nitishji. Their meeting went well and Mr Singh went away happily. What lies ahead we will soon know.” With the case against Rhea Chakraborty weakening by the day, politics seems to be a sturdy diversion for Sushant’s grieving father. On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. "Your right to freedom of speech is not absolute. You cannot play the role of character that hurts the sentiments of a community," the b...
