Amitabh Bachchan donates ventilators, medical equipments worth Rs 1.75 crore to Mumbai civic hospital June 24, 2021 at 10:11AM

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who recovered from COVID-19 last year, has been helping the citizens in any way he can. The actor has been updating his blog after several medical types of equipment and ventilators being donated to hospitals. Now, it's been revealed that he has donated two high-tech ventilators and some other medical equipment to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital at Sion, Mumbai.

According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the megastar has donated monitors, C-arm image intensifier, and an infuser pump - collectively worth Rs 1.75 crore - apart from ventilators to the civic hospital. As per reports, the ventilators have been installed in the surgery department and around 30 patients have been helped amid the treatment using the equipment.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has resumed the shooting of Goodbye starring Rashmika Mandanna.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
