Ajay Devgn teams up with Dil Raju for Hindi remake of Telugu hit Naandhi June 25, 2021 at 08:52AM

Known for their pursuit of excellence, Ajay Devgn and V. Venkata Ramana Reddy aka Dil Raju are collaborating for the first time to bring forth an electrifying story. The two stalwarts have acquired the rights of 2021 Telugu hit, Naandhi for the Hindi remake of the film. Naandhi is a crime courtroom drama which received immense critical acclaim and was also a commercial success.

Producer Ajay Devgn shares, “Naandhi is an important film, exposing certain loopholes in the administration. The original Telugu version was effective and touched a raw nerve. Dil Raju & I have decided to join hands in remaking this film in Hindi to reach out to a larger audience. These are early days. The script is being finalised. Once we have the cast & key talent in place, I may be able to say more.”

Producer Dil Raju shares, "Naandhi is made on a very important topic and we were keen to take this story to a larger audience. I am very happy to have collaborated with Ajay Devgn on an important story like this. We are in the preliminary stage of the film and will soon share more details.".

Produced by Ajay Devgn (Ajay Devgn Films), V. Venkata Ramana Reddy (Dil Raju Productions), Kuldeep Rathore and Parag Desai (Mumbai Talkeez), the producers are currently in the process of locking the director and the star cast.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
