Pallavi Joshi, Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj and Rajeshwari Sachdeva to reunite through Antakshari April 24, 2020 at 10:34AM

Just as when the whole world is sitting at home and has been restricted to step out, try answering this nostalgia question if that could help you kill boredom. What’s common to Pallavi Joshi, Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj and Rajeshwari Sachdeva? There’s one commonality that binds them together. You guessed it right… Antakshari! All of these extremely talented ladies have been a host to the most popular talent show of the nineties.

Pallavi Joshi, Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj and Rajeshwari Sachdeva to reunite through Antakshari

Giving company to her go-getter husband Vivek Agnihotri in ‘The Future Of Life Festival’, will be Pallavi Joshi, who will be seen along with Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj, and Rajeshwari Sachdeva. Pallavi Joshi, who had started off as a child artist in films, went onto achieve dizzying heights in her career spanning many decades. Superlative performances, awards and rave reviews have always been synonymous with her. The ageless woman that she is, will be seen reviving the good ol’ ‘Antakshari’ days at the much awaited ‘The Future Of Life Festival’, which will take place on 30 April, 2020 (Thursday) at 5 pm IST.

Speaking about the coming together of all four of them, the ever-versatile Pallavi Joshi says, “Music unites souls. Acting was the primary profession of all four of us viz., Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj, Rajeshwari Sachdeva and myself. Yet, it was music that brought us together and made us lifelong friends. All these three wonderfully wonderful actors (Renuka Shahane, Durga Jasraj, Rajeshwari Sachdeva) are not just beautiful looking people, but they have got beautiful souls. Rajeshwari Sachdeva is probably one of the best actors that I have ever come across. I am a big, big fan of hers. On the other hand, Renuka Shahane, I think, has the best smile in the whole of India. And as for Durga, she is simply the most amazing person. And, what combines all four of us is the most whacky sense of humour that all of us share. I am eagerly looking forward to this session with my friends."

SCOOP: Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards won't take place next year? November 25, 2020 at 11:19AM

The beginning of a new year brings a lot of positivity and hope, and also ushers in the awards season. However, 2021 might be an exception in this regard. The Coronavirus pandemic has led to a lot of change in the status quo of all fields and Bollywood is no exception. With the disease still not in control, the battle against the virus will continue in 2021 as well. And this would mean the awards ceremony, televised to a million viewers globally, might not happen at all. A source claims, “The major award shows like Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards etc might not take place in 2021. These ceremonies involve celebrities from all walks of lives congregating in huge numbers at a particular venue. In times of social distancing, that won’t be a practical thing to do. And most importantly, there have hardly been any releases in 2020. After March 13, there has been no major release in the post-lockdown period. Only Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari released in this season and a couple of ...

Aditya Chopra plans Yash Chopra bio-pic starring Shah Rukh Khan October 01, 2020 at 11:30AM

As Yash Raj Films clocks 50 years of excellence and supremacy, the scion of the empire Aditya Chopra and his intellectual team has come together to thresh out a string of commemorative projects including a grand bio-pic on the founding father of the banner Yash Chopra. Though not much detail is known of the bio-pic as yet I have reason to believe Aditya Chopra is very seriously looking into the project, as he and all likeminded fans of Yash Chopra believe the filmmaker’s saga of self-motivated success is exemplary. And who better qualified to play Yash Chopra than Shah Rukh Khan? Though the casting is yet to be finalized SRK seems the perfect fit, being the favourite actor of father Yash and son Aditya Chopra. Other commemorative projects to mark 50 years of Yash Raj include new film projects that will launch new talent. Aditya Chopra has always been at the forefront of new-talent endeavours. Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra are among Chopra’s recent discoveries. “We will be seei...
