IU and Suga of BTS team up for an upcoming single releasing on May 6 April 27, 2020 at 08:24AM

A summer bop is on the way! Korean musician sensation Lee Ji-eun, professionally known as IU and rapper-songwriter-producer Suga (Min Yoongi) of the biggest band in the world BTS are collaborating on an upcoming single which is releasing on May 6. The 26-year-old singer is ready for her comeback and her agency confirmed the news of the collaboration.

“As musicians of the same age, the two singers were able to relate to one another and use that as a foundation for exchanging opinions. They created their own unique synergy, which is reflected in their song," Soompi reports.

As per her agency EDAM Entertainment, IU's upcoming music video was filmed recently which is completely different from what she has done in the past. She has also worked on the concept, songwriting, production, and composing of the single!

This news comes on the day Suga completed three days since debuted as a producer when he collaborated with singer Suran for the song 'Wine'. He has also worked with Tablo of Epik High on 'Song Request' for South Korean singer Lee So-ra. He produced a track for Epik High's 'Sleepless' titled 'Eternal Sunshine'. He produced the digital single 'We Don't Talk Together' for singer Heize last year. The track was produced and co-written by Suga, Heize along with El Captixn and Heize as co-composers.

In January 2020, Halsey and Suga collaborated on her album 'Manic' and released 'Suga's Interlude' which featured him and the track was produced by Suga.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
