Bhumi Pednekar is quite the name when it comes to being an unconventional actress. She has proven her worth right from her debut, Dum Laga Ke Haishaa, and since then, she has only seen success. Her physical transformation was jaw-dropping and she has been giving us major fitness and fashion goals since then. With her first solo film, Durgavati, still in works Bhumi Pednekar couldn’t be more content and grateful for the films she has done and the love she receives on a daily basis.

In an interaction with a portal, Bhumi Pednekar opened up about how she lost her father to cancer when she was just 18 and her sister, Samiksha was 15. She says it was difficult for them to cope up with that since they had seen him in the prolonged sickness for so long. Losing a parent is never easy and they had a wonderful father. While it was difficult for the two young girls, their mother got them together. The first two years without him were a mess but they put on their warrior mode and got through it really fast. Now when they look back at those days, they wonder how they got through those days, but it happened somehow.

Bhumi Pednekar will also be seen in Badhaai Ho 2 with Rajkummar Rao.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
