Subhash Ghai says he re-wrote his old scripts during the lockdown June 20, 2020 at 09:45AM

With the film industry coming to a complete halt during the lockdown, the members of the industry have been utilizing their time to enhance their creativity. Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has been using the crisis as an opportunity to know things about himself.

In an interview with a daily, Ghai said that he has discovered new energies and avenues about himself. The filmmaker also re-wrote his old scripts keeping in mind today's flavour and keeping the viewing habits of the youth in mind.

Ghai also spoke how the freedom a filmmaker enjoys on the web is much more than cinema. He also worked on his biography during the lockdown. He said that there are limitations in films which the web content has surpassed. The filmmaker now wishes to focus on documentaries and short films too.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. Even though Eisha Singh had agreed to return on the show, her part was going to be of a limited period considering her prior commitments.
