Aamir Khan starrer Vikram Vedha remake pushed ahead June 25, 2020 at 11:25AM

Amid the nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, several films and TV shoots were halted and movie releases have been postponed too. With restrictions being lifted slowly in the country, producers are ensuring to receive permission to resume shooting while adhering to government guidelines. Aamir Khan starrer Vikram Vedha will be delayed since the actor is yet to complete Laal Singh Chaddha shooting.

Aamir Khan starrer Vikram Vedha remake pushed ahead

As per reports, Aamir Khan has 40 percent of shooting left for Laal Singh Chaddha, the Indian adaptation of Hollywood flick Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. The actor is certain that he won't be resuming shooting before October keeping in mind the safety of the cast and crew. Since the film is scheduled for Christmas 2020 release, they might push it to 2021 Christmas.

Aamir Khan was supposed to begin shooting for Vikram Vedha remake in February 2021. But, due to his current film's condition, he has informed the producer Neeraj Pandey that he will only begin work on the thriller post the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.

Pushkar Gayatri, the original director, will helm the remake. It marks Aamir Khan's reunion with Dil Chahta Hai co-star Saif Ali Khan.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant.
