Randeep Hooda to shoot Mard in Lucknow June 19, 2020 at 01:32PM

With restrictions on the lockdown are slowly being lifted, with due permission, film and TV shootings will soon resume. As filmmakers are looking forward to getting back on the sets, they are seeking necessary measures in order to conduct filming. Randeep Hooda is set to star in an upcoming film Mard which is majorly set in Lucknow.

Producer Rahul Mittra has conducted talks with Uttar Pradesh government — including Raju Srivastav, chairman, Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council – in order to seek permission to shoot. The filmmaker said that the change of location is not feasible considering the major portion has to be filmed in Lucknow. He said he can’t compromise on it since the location is the real hero of his story.

They are hoping to hear back soon from the government. The producer thinks they won’t be able to shoot before August.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise.
