Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide left the entire nation in shock. His death led to a vicious blame game on social media with sections of people accusing the nepotism in the film industry for the reason behind his death.

In an interview with a media portal, actor Jitendra Kumar said that while it is sad and shocking, he feels that the problem is everywhere. He said that the problem of nepotism existed in all industries but pointed out that the film industry was simply more exposed.

Addressing the matter of suicide, the actor said that the industry should learn to take care of each other. He also encouraged those going through a hard time to speak up and stay connected to family and friends. He also spoke about the importance of mental health and said that it is important to reach out to others.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14.
