Second filmmaker announces film based on Sushant Singh Rajput’s life; will narrate the story of struggling actors June 25, 2020 at 05:03PM

The demise of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020, left the entire nation in a state of shock. While fans and friends are still coping with the loss, a few filmmakers have shown interest in making a film based on the life of the late actor.

Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra who has worked primarily in Bhojpuri films is the second director to announce a film based on Sushant Singh Rajput's life. Reportedly, he said that the film will be partially based on the Kai Po Che actor and will be titled Sushant. He said that the film is not a biopic, but will narrate the story of struggling actors who come to Mumbai to fulfil their dreams in Bollywood but are subsequently forced to take extreme steps due to harassment.

Earlier, Shamik Maulik had announced that he will be making a film on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput's life, titled Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14.
