Varun Badola’s father veteran actor Vishwa Mohan Badola passes away at 84, the actor pens an emotional note November 25, 2020 at 12:25PM

Varun Badola’s father veteran actor Vishwa Mohan Badola has passed away at the age of 84 and the actor has taken to his social media to pen a heartfelt note. Currently being seen in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, Varun Badola, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama had recalled how he played cricket for the first time at the age of four. While the loss of a closed one is too much to deal with, 2020 has been really difficult for most of us.

Varun Badola’s father veteran actor Vishwa Mohan Badola passes away at 84, the actor pens an emotional note

Honouring his father, Varun Badola wrote, “A lot of people crib about the fact that their kids do not listen to them. Many forget that kids are always watching them. My father never sat me down to teach me anything. He made learning a way of life for me. He set an example so exemplary that I had no choice but... follow. If you think that I am a good actor, blame him. If I write, he has to take the onus. If I sing... well if I had just about 1/10th of his singing talent, I would have become a singer. I left Delhi and came to Mumbai because his name was too big in that city to counter. I protested that people judge me, they unduly favour me because I am your son. He promptly told me to go and find my own identity some place else if I thought his name was a hinderance. He told me to always operate out of my comfort zone. He made me a MAN. Not many know that he was a journalist by profession. A master on South East Asian affairs. Travelled the world twice over. He did more than 400 hundred plays for AIR. He was an actor par excellence. When he sang, time stopped. Make no mistake, THIS MAN WAS A LEGEND. But for me, he was my father. A father who was always watching and always listening. So ladies and gentlemen The Man, The Legend, The Phenomenon has called it a day. But his legacy will stay on forever in various forms. Mr. Vishwa Mohan Badola 1936 – 2020”.

Take a look at his post.

Rest in peace, Vishwa Mohan Badola.

SCOOP: Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards won't take place next year? November 25, 2020 at 11:19AM

The beginning of a new year brings a lot of positivity and hope, and also ushers in the awards season. However, 2021 might be an exception in this regard. The Coronavirus pandemic has led to a lot of change in the status quo of all fields and Bollywood is no exception. With the disease still not in control, the battle against the virus will continue in 2021 as well. And this would mean the awards ceremony, televised to a million viewers globally, might not happen at all. A source claims, “The major award shows like Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards etc might not take place in 2021. These ceremonies involve celebrities from all walks of lives congregating in huge numbers at a particular venue. In times of social distancing, that won’t be a practical thing to do. And most importantly, there have hardly been any releases in 2020. After March 13, there has been no major release in the post-lockdown period. Only Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari released in this season and a couple of ...

Aditya Chopra plans Yash Chopra bio-pic starring Shah Rukh Khan October 01, 2020 at 11:30AM

As Yash Raj Films clocks 50 years of excellence and supremacy, the scion of the empire Aditya Chopra and his intellectual team has come together to thresh out a string of commemorative projects including a grand bio-pic on the founding father of the banner Yash Chopra. Though not much detail is known of the bio-pic as yet I have reason to believe Aditya Chopra is very seriously looking into the project, as he and all likeminded fans of Yash Chopra believe the filmmaker’s saga of self-motivated success is exemplary. And who better qualified to play Yash Chopra than Shah Rukh Khan? Though the casting is yet to be finalized SRK seems the perfect fit, being the favourite actor of father Yash and son Aditya Chopra. Other commemorative projects to mark 50 years of Yash Raj include new film projects that will launch new talent. Aditya Chopra has always been at the forefront of new-talent endeavours. Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra are among Chopra’s recent discoveries. “We will be seei...
