Sonu Sood's cyclist fan airlifted from Varanasi with his cycle November 25, 2020 at 11:52AM

Sonu Sood’s messianic zeal knows no bounds. After he got to know that a fan from Bihar Armaan was on his way to Mumbai to meet Sonu, cycling all the way, Sonu rushed to the fan’s rescue. And now even as you read this, Armaan is on the way to Mumbai by air.

Sonu Sood's cyclist fan airlifted from Varanasi with his cycle

Says Sonu, “I contacted Armaan. He had reached Varanasi. I told him, ‘Dekho tum aisa matkaro. Tum milna chahte ho, zaroor milo. But not like this.’ I convinced him to get into a flight and come to Mumbai. He shall stay in a hotel at my expense and fly back to Patna all at my expense. If I mean so much to him, then I should make his visit as special as I can.”

And it’s not just Armaan flying to Mumbai. “His bicycle is also flying to Mumbai with him and will fly back with him. How can we leave his precious conveyance?” Sonu says affectionately, adding that the people of Bihar want him to visit the State.

“I will. But, I need to find the time. At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be any time for anything except to make sure that those in need reach a closure to the end of their crisis. It’s very easy to donate a few thousand to the needy, and move on. But quite often that token amount is not enough to tide the needy over his crisis. The important thing is to ensure that the problem is sorted out fully and finally,” says Sonu.

In the meanwhile, a treat awaits Armaan as he reaches Mumbai to meet his idol.

The beginning of a new year brings a lot of positivity and hope, and also ushers in the awards season. However, 2021 might be an exception in this regard. The Coronavirus pandemic has led to a lot of change in the status quo of all fields and Bollywood is no exception. With the disease still not in control, the battle against the virus will continue in 2021 as well. And this would mean the awards ceremony, televised to a million viewers globally, might not happen at all. A source claims, “The major award shows like Filmfare Awards, Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards etc might not take place in 2021. These ceremonies involve celebrities from all walks of lives congregating in huge numbers at a particular venue. In times of social distancing, that won’t be a practical thing to do. And most importantly, there have hardly been any releases in 2020. After March 13, there has been no major release in the post-lockdown period. Only Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari released in this season and a couple of ...

Aditya Chopra plans Yash Chopra bio-pic starring Shah Rukh Khan October 01, 2020 at 11:30AM

As Yash Raj Films clocks 50 years of excellence and supremacy, the scion of the empire Aditya Chopra and his intellectual team has come together to thresh out a string of commemorative projects including a grand bio-pic on the founding father of the banner Yash Chopra. Though not much detail is known of the bio-pic as yet I have reason to believe Aditya Chopra is very seriously looking into the project, as he and all likeminded fans of Yash Chopra believe the filmmaker’s saga of self-motivated success is exemplary. And who better qualified to play Yash Chopra than Shah Rukh Khan? Though the casting is yet to be finalized SRK seems the perfect fit, being the favourite actor of father Yash and son Aditya Chopra. Other commemorative projects to mark 50 years of Yash Raj include new film projects that will launch new talent. Aditya Chopra has always been at the forefront of new-talent endeavours. Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra are among Chopra’s recent discoveries. “We will be seei...
