Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh & Mantraraj Paliwal join hands to produce two Hindi films November 23, 2020 at 10:28AM

Miraj Creations has joined hands with AVMA Media to produce two Hindi feature films, with a commitment to back quality content to further the business and reach of Indian entertainment. The first of the two projects titled Uma will be directed by debutante Tathagata Singha and creatively produced by Sujoy Ghosh.

Sujoy Ghosh will himself write, direct and jointly produce the second project in the line-up -- a big screen adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s famed Bengali short story, Kabuliwala. A period drama set in the United Kingdom. Both the films will go on floor next year.

The two projects signal the revamped production vertical of Miraj Creations, which is in discussions with leading filmmakers to build a portfolio of movies with the right creative and commercial mix. Many more projects are likely to get announced shortly.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
