Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari makers to hold special screening for COVID-19 warriors, Mumbai Police and their families November 19, 2020 at 09:49AM

There is much exhilaration about the release of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, the film starring Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee, and Fatima Sana Sheikh in lead roles. Amidst all the fanfare, PVR in collaboration with Zee Studios has decided to host a special screening for the men in uniform who've been the relentless soldiers at the battlefront throughout the 8 months of pandemic since March. The event will be hosted at Juhu PVR on November 18.

Representing his team, Abhishek Sharma will attend the event today evening. Talking about it, Abhishek says, "It's a film we made to put a smile on people's faces and right now, no one needs these smiles as much as those who've worked through the ordeal of the pandemic every day when we have been comfortably locked in our home. We can’t ever repay what they’ve done for us but the least we can do is to get smiles on their faces. We have invited men from the police force and their families to watch the film today. I hope even if it's for a few hours, they can keep the stress in their lives at bay and have a good time. I am glad PVR and Zee Studios are hosting the screening today and I can’t wait to be there with all of them!”

The film that released on Sunday (November 15) is a laugh riot of sorts that's been making its audience laugh with its simplicity and innocence.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14.
