Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani to star in upcoming Netflix film Meenakshi Sundareshwar, check out their first look November 25, 2020 at 12:32PM

What’s in a name? A lot, as Meenakshi and Sundareshwar would express in their upcoming Netflix film, Meenakshi Sundareshwar. The film marks the continued association of Sanya Malhotra with Netflix, after Ludo, and the OTT debut of Abhimanyu Dassani - both of whom play the eponymous roles.

Set in Madurai in Tamil Nadu, the romantic comedy speaks to the trials and tribulations of a young couple, and is directed by Vivek Soni. The first look was unveiled on Wednesday.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar marks the directorial debut of Vivek Soni. It is being produced by Dharmatic Entertainmentand has been written by Vivek Soni and Aarsh Vora.

Irrfan Khan to be seen on the silver screen in 2021 with the release of The Song of Scorpions December 28, 2020 at 07:02PM

Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away in April this year, will be seen on the silver screen for one last time in 2021. The actor's last film titled The Song of Scorpions will release in theatres next year. The Song of Scorpions was first premiered in 2017 at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Written and directed by Anup Singh, the film will be released in early 2021. Abhishek Pathak, producer and director at Panorama Spotlight, in a statement said, "We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess and we're happy to have canvassed his swansong."
