Nawazuddin Siddiqui's marital problems with wife Aaliya just got worse May 25, 2020 at 12:58PM

As expected the breach between Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya is growing by the day. In an interview to a television channel, Aalia has come out with very ugly allegations against Nawaz and his brothers. She says, “We were facing problems in our married life since the time we got hitched. Neither Nawazuddin nor his brothers know how to respect women. He used to only point out my mistakes whenever we talked. He even insulted me several times in front of others. He said, ‘When you don’t know how to speak, then you should remain quiet’. He never gave me the respect which a wife deserves in a relationship. I lost all my self-respect during our relationship. "

She goes on to accuse Nawaz of ill-treatment and of neglecting the children. She also reveals that the couple has been living apart for nearly five years. And this is not the end of the allegations. Sources reveal that Mrs Siddiqui has plenty more to accuse her husband of, including serious issues on mutual trust and fidelity.

All through this, Nawaz has chosen to go to his home town in Uttarakhand to avoid pressing questions. When I asked him to comment he replied with a polite, “No comments, Sir.”

His behaviour of late had become arrogant, and a large part of the problems in Nawaz’s life have to do with the people close to him. He has now gotten rid of them and his attitude is definitely on the mend.

But as far as his marriage is concerned, it seems it is too late to make amends.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
