It’s a new day and a new record has been broken by a member of BTS! The widely popular group has been working on the group’s album while the members explore their solo music. With member V, he ventured into crooning Korean drama OST for the second time after Hwarang’s ‘It’s Definitely You’ with his member Jin. This time, he had his first solo track ‘Sweet Night’ for one of the most popular Korean actor Park Seo Joon’s show, Itaewon Class. The series was not only one of the most popular dramas of 2020 but this OST went onto break a very major record.

V, real name Kim Taehyung, has surpassed the widely popular PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ record by attainting 88 No. 1s on iTunes worldwide. Back in 2012, PSY became the first Korean solo artist to ever top the iTunes chart. V has now beaten the eight-year record with ‘Sweet Night’. He becomes the first Korean solo artist to have 88 No.1s on the iTunes chart.

The indie-pop track, sung completely in English, has been produced by V and Hiss Noise. Interestingly, V made his acting debut in Park Seo Joon’s Hwarang in 2016. Since then, the two of them are close friends as their group is called Wooga Squad.

Meanwhile, V has also worked on solo tracks like ‘Scenery’ and ‘Winter Bear’. He and the BTS members are currently working on their next album after the stupendous success of ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’. They are set to drop their Japanese album in July.

Tandav controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant protection from arrest to makers; says freedom of speech is not absolute January 27, 2021 at 04:37PM

On Wednesday while hearing pleas seeking stay on FIRs against actors and producers of the web series Tandav , the Supreme Court said that freedom of speech is not absolute. A bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners should go to the high courts to seek quashing of these cases. The court also refused to grant protection from arrest to the makers of Tandav against whom FIRs have been filed. The case was heard by a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, RS Reddy and MR Shah. Senior advocates Fali S Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Luthra cited the recent judgement of the top court in Arnab Goswami's case during the hearing. "Is this way liberty should be protected in the country and FIRs are being filed across the country," Luthra said adding that the director of the web series, Ali Abbas Zafar, is being harassed. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process.
