Siddharth Roy Kapur thanks the makers of Dil Chahta Hai for the title of his next - Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? February 23, 2021 at 04:41PM

Siddharth Roy Kapur found the title of his next outing (produced under his production house, Roy Kapur Films) in Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's era-defining film, Dil Chahta Hai. The producer has thanked Farhan and Ritesh for letting his production house borrow inspiration for the title of its next, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?. Starring Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Kulkarni, 'Woh Ladki Hain Kahaan' is one of the most popular songs from the music album of the cult film.

The song has withstood the test of time and continues to be a favourite of music buffs since the release of the Farhan Akhtar directorial in 2001. What remains to be seen is how the hook line of the song summarises the essence of the upcoming film.

Siddharth Roy Kapur says, “I’d like to thank my friends Farhan and Ritesh for so graciously permitting us to use as our title the name of their song from the iconic Dil Chahta Hai, that so perfectly captures the theme of our film!”

The Roy Kapur Films' production stars powerhouse performer, Taapsee Pannu and Pratik Gandhi, best known for Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. The story of the film chronicles the fun ride that ensues upon the collision of two diametrically opposite personalities - a feisty cop (to be essayed by Taapsee) and a chauvinistic brat (to be essayed by Pratik). The outing carries a promise of a battle of wits, volatile chemistry and wholesome entertainment.

Written and to be directed by Arshad Syed, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? is set to go on the floors at the end of the year and is currently is in the process of locking the rest of the cast.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
