Hrithik Roshan backs out of his OTT debut with the The Night Manager adaptation February 22, 2021 at 09:26PM

Last year in September it was reported that Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan will be making his OTT debut with the Hindi adaptation of the British mini-series The Night Manager. The series was to be streamed on Disney+Hotstar and the actor was reportedly being paid a huge sum around the vicinity of Rs. 75 crore for the same. All was done and the actor was supposed to start shooting in March. However, latest reports state that the actor has backed out of the project.

While there has been no official confirmation yet, reports state that Hrithik was uncomfortable with the long schedules and had date problems. Therefore the shoot of the series now stands cancelled and reportedly the crew of the film is not happy with the latest developments.

There is a lot of speculation around why the actor decided to step out of the project. The actor has been looking to venture into the digital space for a long time with a project that would appeal to a worldwide audience and when Disney+Hotstar approached him with The Night Manager everything fell in place. Hrithik was to play an Indian version of the Jonathan Pine character, essayed by Tom Hiddleston in the original 2016 limited series based on the 1993 novel by John Le Carre. Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was to bankroll the series under her production house.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
