Post the success of Shakuntala Devi, Abundantia Entertainment and Anu Menon come together again for a murder mystery December 28, 2020 at 04:38PM

After a highly successful collaboration with one of 2020’s most viewed and loved films, Shakuntala Devi, director Anu Menon and Abundantia Entertainment today announced that they are coming together again for Anu Menon’s new film.

Shakuntala Devi premiered on 31st July 2020 on Amazon Prime Video streaming across 200 countries and was met with great acclaim and audiences’ love poured in abundance for this biopic of the Indian mathematics genius who was given the title of the ‘human computer’. The film starred Vidya Balan in the titular role along with Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta.

Director Anu Menon has now joined hands once again with Shakuntala Devi’s producer, Vikram Malhotra, for a new film currently under development. Presently in the final stages of screenplay, principal photography of the new film is expected to begin in April-May 2021.

Director Anu Menon said, “I am very happy that Abundantia Entertainment is the home to my new film as well. I had a great time telling Shakuntala Devi’s story with Vikram and the team led by Shikhaa. Their passion for telling compelling stories and commitment to a director’s vision are rare to find. We have a very different story coming up this time round and I hope we receive the same love from the audience as we did for our first collaboration together”.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
