Varun Dhawan donates a total of Rs. 55 lakhs towards the PM-CARES Fund and the CM Relief Fund March 29, 2020 at 09:45AM

Ever since the Coronavirus outbreak, actor Varun Dhawan has been constantly appealing his fans to stay indoors and follow the directives and rules put out by the government. With the 21-day lockdown, the entire country is in a standstill. The country’s economy has taken been affected too. Amidst all this, Varun Dhawan donates for PM Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES Fund and CM Relief Fund.

After Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan has stepped up to do his bit and has pledged to donate Rs. 55 lakhs from his savings and took to his Twitter to announce the same. His tweet reads, “I pledge to contribute 25 lakhs to the Maharashtra CM’s relief fund @OfficeofUT @AUThackeray @CMOMaharashtra. We are with you sir”.

After a while, he again tweeted, “I pledge to contribute 30 lakhs to the PM CARE fund. We will overcome this. Desh hai toh hum hain.”

The star will next be seen in Coolie No. 1 with Sara Ali Khan. Making it a total of Rs. 55 lakhs, Varun Dhawan has rightly said, “Desh hai toh hum hain.”

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
