At MET Gala 2020, Cannes Film Festival 2020 and US' Daytime Emmy Awards have been postponed amid Coronavirus outbreak! Spike Lee, Cannes jury chair director, told Variety, "The stuff that we love has to take a back seat. The world has changed and it's changing every day. People are dying and France's president has said, several times - I'm paraphrasing - 'We are at war.' We are in a war-like time. So many things have been postponed, and I agree with this move."

He further said, "Let's not forget this is the world's biggest film festival, the world's biggest stage for cinema and I'll be the first black president of the jury. Everybody has to pray, get on bended knee, pray, we get out of this, find a vaccine, get back on our feet - physically, emotionally and financially worldwide. This is no joke. It's not a movie. People are dying."

Another major event that has been postponed is Daytime Emmys 2020. The organizers said that they can't move forward with the planned ceremonies that has over 2000 attendees. They said that they are exploring ways to recognize their work next year!

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment.
