Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra teaser certified 'U'; 13 teaser cuts submitted to CBFC May 26, 2021 at 03:53PM

The much-delay Dharma Productions project Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt seems to be getting back on its feet. The makers have hit several roadblocks in the past year amid the COVID-19 pandemic but the shooting began once again when the restrictions were lifted. Amid this, it does seem like the film might not even release this year.

While the fans are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of Brahmastra, here's an interesting update on the fantasy drama. The teaser of the film has been given a "U" certificate by the CBFC. It seems like the makers are planning on dropping some content related to the film in near future. As per the latest update, the producers have submitted 13 teaser cuts to the CBFC for approval apart from promotional content for IMAX and 8 motion posters.

The makers have some shoot left and might begin filming later this year in October. Amid the second wave of COVID-19, all the shootings in Mumbai have been halted. The makers are now looking at the summer 2022 release.

Apart from that, Brahmastra will release in several languages - Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Telugu, and Tamil among others. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.

Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away in April this year, will be seen on the silver screen for one last time in 2021.
