UNICEF ropes in Prithviraj actor Manushi Chhillar for World Immunization Week April 24, 2021 at 03:36PM

Bollywood debutant Manushi Chhillar, who will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj, has been roped in by UNICEF to raise awareness the need for immunization of children in India. Manushi, who won the coveted Miss World crown 17 years after Priyanka Chopra bagged the honour, is a vocal citizen who uses her social media to bring awareness on various relevant issues like menstrual hygiene for young girls in India. She will be leading from the front during World Immunization Week (April 24-30), engaging with people on social media to spread this important message far and wide.

Manushi says, “Vaccines have helped generations of children grow up in good health, safe from infectious and dangerous diseases like polio and measles. To save lives, we must redouble our efforts to vaccinate children - particularly the most vulnerable. We must not let #COVID19 disrupt children’s access to life-saving childhood vaccines.”

She adds, “Vaccines will help protect children from the most devastating impacts of infectious diseases. As we wait for #COVID19 vaccines to roll out more widely, let’s remember to vaccinate our children against other highly contagious diseases which remain a serious threat to their lives.”

Manushi will be seen on the big screen as she plays the role of the ethereally beautiful Princess Sanyogiya in the much awaited Yash Raj Films’ historical Prithviraj.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake. The next day Sawant woke up at 5.30 am and an hour later after his morning rituals he went up to the actor's room as usual.
