Actor Jimmy Sheirgill and 34 others booked for defying COVID lockdown in Punjab April 28, 2021 at 06:39PM

The second wave of COVID-19 pandemic has affected the country badly. With the number of daily cases crossing three lakhs, several states have either announced lockdown or set restrictions in movement of people. Strict action is being taken against those flouting COVID-19 rules and protocol. Amid this, actor Jimmy Sheirgill and 34 others have been booked in Punjab for defying the lockdown in Punjab.

On Tuesday night, Bollywood actor Jimmy Sheirgill who was shooting for the web series Your Honor in Ludhiana in Punjab was booked along with 34 crew members for flouting lockdown rules laid by the state government.

Reportedly, a police officer said that 150 crew members were shooting for the series at Arya Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana at 8 pm, two hours after curfew had been enforced in the city. A lockdown has been imposed from 6 pm to 5 am in Punjab to curb the spread of the pandemic. When the police reached the location, the team was seen shooting a court scene. Actor Sheirgill plays the role of a judge in the show which is an adaptation of an Israeli web series by the same name.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14.
