Neetu Singh - Anil Kapoor paired for the first time in Raj Mehta's next October 26, 2020 at 11:43AM

For fans of Raj Mehta’s Good Newwz, the 2019 comedy featuring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, there is good news. Raj heads to Chandigarh (the current favourite Indian city for Bollywood shootings), this time to shoot a comedy entitled Jug Jug Jiyo.

While there is nothing particularly interesting about the film’s younger pair Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani (that the two were coming together was evident in their lately-developed mutual admiration society) the older couple comes as a surprise.

Raj brings together Neetu Singh and Anil Kapoor who never worked together in their heydays. A source close to the Jug Jug Jiyo producer Karan Johar explains, “Although Anil is around the same age as Neetuji they never came together because Neetuji started her career before Anil and together with Rishi Kapoor. So she was seen to belong to the generation of actors before Anil.”

Sources say Neetu Singh Kapoor last seen with her late and much-missed husband Rishi Kapoor and her son Ranbir in Besharam in 2017, was not keen on making a comeback to acting specially so soon after the bereavement. It was Karan Johar who coaxed her into pitching in for a fun film.

Mrs Kapoor is said to have some really enjoyable light-hearted scenes with Anil Kpaoor in Jug Jug Jiyo. More than Varun-Kiara, it is the two Kapoors we can’t wait to see together.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
