Mirzapur cast already on to season 3; budget & principal actors' fee doubled October 24, 2020 at 10:25AM

It can now be told. Yes, there will be a third season of Mirzapur, the Amazon Prime series that has broken all records among the webseries of India by becoming the most watched Indian digital series of all times.

Pankaj Tripathi who plays the patriarch in a family of political assassins says he has never seen such craze for any of his serials or films before this. “The curiosity and excitement for the sequel to Mirzapur was beyond anything I’ve seen. Anywhere that I went I was asked about ‘Kaleen Bhaiyya’ the character I play in Mirzapur 2. I haven’t encountered such curiosity for any of my other characters.”

The craze for the other characters in Mirzapur is also beyond anything we’ve seen on the OTT platform. Sources from Amazon Prime reveal that the budget for Mirzapur 2 was more than twice what it was for the first season.

“Every principal actor has been paid nearly double of what he got in the first season. Characters like Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu and Munna (played by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyendu Tripathi) are more popular than large-screen heroes in high-budget action films,” comments a source.

While the first season of Mirzapur was budgeted a meagre Rs. 12 crores, the budget for Mirzapur 2 is nearly Rs. 60 crores, and Season 3’s budget will be hiked by at least 30 percent.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
