Here’s why Sushant Singh Rajput was replaced by John Abraham in Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) July 28, 2020 at 04:30PM

Ever since actor Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise, reports on the number of films that the actor had let go have been doing the rounds. One such film is Robbie Grewal's RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter). In June of 2017, while talking to Bollywood Hungama, Sushant Singh Rajput had spoken about wrapping up the shoot of the film by the end of the year. He signed the film in February of 2017, but eventually walked out of the project.

The film was supposed to go on floors on October 1, 2017 and end by November 30. However, in August the actor walked out of the film citing date issues. Reportedly, there was a delay in the film going on floors because the script had to undergo major changes. The makers had plans to make the film on a larger scale. Talking about opting out of the film, Sushant Singh Rajput had said, “Unfortunately due to changes in my prior commitments I will not be able to be a part of Romeo Akbar Walter. I wanted to be a part of the project because I love the story and I believe it's a story which must be told. However due to unavoidable circumstances I won’t be a part of this journey. I wish the producers all the very best for the project.”

Back then the actor had several other projects on his plate including Kedarnath, Drive, Chanda Mama Door Ke and Sonchiriya. In November, there were reports of Abhishek Bachchan replacing the actor. However, come March 2018, it was finalized that John Abraham will be the lead actor of Romeo Akbar Walter(RAW).

The film finally went on floors in June of 2018 in a start to finish 60 day schedule. The film also starred Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy and Sikandar Kher. Written and directed by Robbie Grewal and produced by Dheeraj Wadhwan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Walia and Gary Grewal, the film was released in the theatres on April 5, 2019.

Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake.
