Dharma CEO Apoorva Mehta records his statement; submits Sushant Singh Rajput’s contract for Drive July 28, 2020 at 04:59PM

Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise is currently being investigated by the Mumbai Police. With this regard the police had recently summoned Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta to record his statement.

Mehta was spotted at the police station earlier today where he had reached to record his statement. Drive was Sushant's last movie to be released ahead of his demise on June 14. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film was produced by Dharma. The film had been released on Netflix after several delays led to skipping of the theatrical release. Reportedly, Mehta submitted a copy of Sushant's contract for Drive. Apoorva was at the police station for nearly three hours.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar has also been summoned by the Mumbai Police to record his statement. Ever since Sushant's demise, the filmmaker has been on the receiving end of trolls and abuses on social media.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who was last seen in Bigg Boss 13, has donated to Assam Relief Fund and took to Twitter to announce the same. Assam along with some other north-eastern areas have been hit with Cyclone Amphan, leading to massive storms and floods in the area. The actress hails from Assam and has stepped up to help out her people. She has donated Rs. 73,000 to the relief fund and is hoping that other will also step forward to help those affected by the cyclone. Irrfan Khan to be seen on the silver screen in 2021 with the release of The Song of Scorpions December 28, 2020 at 07:02PM

Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away in April this year, will be seen on the silver screen for one last time in 2021. The actor's last film titled The Song of Scorpions will release in theatres next year. The Song of Scorpions was first premiered in 2017 at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Written and directed by Anup Singh, the film will be released in early 2021. Abhishek Pathak, producer and director at Panorama Spotlight, in a statement said, "We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess and we're happy to have canvassed his swansong."
