Bigg Boss 14 usually introduces its contestants on the day of its launch. With the virtual press conference held for the first time due to the lockdown, Salman Khan has made the most of this event and introduced the first contestant of the season. This has happened for the first time in history where the contestant was introduced 10 days before the premiere.

Jaan Kumar Sanu, son of famous singer Kumar Sanu, will be a part of the show. Introducing him to the media, Salman Khan joked about how innocent Jaan Kumar Sanu looked to survive in the house. To help him out, he called the previous season’s winner, Sidharth Shukla to give him a few mock hypothetical situations to handle the difficult situations in the house. Sidharth Shukla asked him how would he react to being thrown a cup of tea on, and Jaan Kumar Sanu said that he would sing Salman Khan’s famous song, ‘Ek Garam Chai Ki Pyaali’. He further said that if things go out of hand, he would use the Sid approach to the situation before unleashing the beast.

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment.
