K-pop group ITZY roped in as the global brand ambassador of Maybelline New York March 31, 2021 at 04:18PM

Popular Korean pop group ITZY, 4th generation powerful female-group, has been announced as the global brand ambassadors of cosmetics giant, Maybelline New York. The quintet  Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna have joined the diverse catalogue of the ambassadors including supermodel Gigi Hadid and actress Storm Reid.

The announcement was made via the Maybelline social media channels along with the poster and commercial ad. The stunning girls will be seen in Maybelline's Hypersharp Liner, Ultimatte Lipstick, and SuperStay Foundations campaigns in Asia, this spring. "We have always admired the Maybelline brand and are so excited to be able to contribute our creativity, positivity, and energy to their global community," said the group in an official statement. "It's a huge opportunity to bring new sides of ourselves to our fans and to remind the world that being confident and bold is in all of us."

"I have been watching ITZY's inspiring rise and was drawn to how dynamic they are both as a group and individuals," Trisha Ayyagari, Global Brand President, Maybelline New York said in a statement. ITZY was formed in 2019 and signed by YJP Entertainment. Their debut single 'Dalla Dalla' peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's YouTube chart and No. 1 on iTunes' song chart in twelve regions. With multiple accolades, award show wins, tours under their belt, ITZY's last work was their third EP 'Not Shy' released in August 2020. The quintet is gearing up for the album 'Guess Who' to release on April 30.

Irrfan Khan to be seen on the silver screen in 2021 with the release of The Song of Scorpions December 28, 2020 at 07:02PM

Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away in April this year, will be seen on the silver screen for one last time in 2021. The actor's last film titled The Song of Scorpions will release in theatres next year. The Song of Scorpions was first premiered in 2017 at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Written and directed by Anup Singh, the film will be released in early 2021. Abhishek Pathak, producer and director at Panorama Spotlight, in a statement said, "We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess and we're happy to have canvassed his swansong."
