Kanu Behl and Manoj Bajpayee team up for thriller titled Despatch, Ronnie Screwvala to produce January 29, 2021 at 03:23PM

In the spirit of diversifying and creating cross-platform content, the creative production house now announces Despatch, their next direct-to-digital project that brings two powerhouse artists together. Directed by Kanu Behl, a multiple award winning writer and director; ‘Despatch’ headlined by heavyweight Manoj Bajpayee, is an investigative thriller that unfolds in the world of crime journalism. The powerhouse actor plays a character who finds himself sucked into the murky underbelly of business and crime.

Kanu Behl, who made his debut with the formidable Titli that premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival and went on to win a string of international awards, ventures into noir procedural territory; brought to life by Manoj Bajpayee, a recipient of two National Awards and a Padma Shri – truly making this a delight for every film aficionado.

Says producer Ronnie Screwvala, “The scope for storytelling is incredible right now with new platforms and evolved audience tastes. Paresh Rawal replaces Rishi Kapoor and resumes shoot for Sharmaji Namkeen June 30, 2021 at 04:06PM

As the Maharashtra government announced some ease in lockdown restrictions, many films have resumed their shoots. Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last film Sharmaji Namkeen has also gone on floors. Rishi played the central character in the movie and passed away on April 30, last year. His remaining portions of the film were taken over by veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal started shooting for the remaining portions in March this year. However, with the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the shoot came to a halt again. According to a daily, Paresh Rawal has resumed the shoot for an important sequence at a school in Goregaon, Mumbai which also features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik. The team along with Paresh Rawal will shoot for a week-long schedule, after which the movie will wrap up and go for the post-production process. Sushant Singh Rajput case: Four key witnesses lay out details of what happened hours before the actor’s demise August 29, 2020 at 12:33PM

The CBI is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigating agency has been trying to piece together the events that transpired hours before the actor's unfortunate demise. Four key witnesses have described how the actor spent the last few hours. All the four witnesses lived with the actor in his Bandra apartment. The witnesses are: Siddharth Pithani (flat mate), Neeraj (house help), Keshav (cook) and housekeeper Deepesh Sawant. All four told the CBI that on the night of June 13, Sushant spent his time alone in his room. Deepesh Sawant was the first person to wake up on June 14. He told the investigating officers that on the night of 13th, Sushant refused to have dinner and asked for a mango shake. The next day Sawant woke up at 5.30 am and an hour later after his morning rituals he went up to the actor's room as usual. When Sawant went to the room, he saw that the actor was up and asked him if he would like to have his breakfast and tea, wh...
